Lag Switch Source – Lag Switch Must Haves
The best lag switch, in our opinion, must abide by the following rules.
1. A cheap lag switch is a good lag switch. We’re not talking dollar store cheap 8 dollars. A reasonable price for a lag switch is between $18 and $25. Anything less and it’s probably not a well made or reliable switch, anything more and you’re paying too much for a device that essentially does the same thing
2. It must be small. A small lag switch is important in play. While playing it’s difficult to fumble with a large lag switch. A small lag switch, about the size of a 3 liter soda bottle cap is the the best size.
3. It must be durable. What good is buying something that’s just going to break? With lag switches this is a must. Being so into a game can be a little rough for your equipment. A durable casing is important here. This brings us back to a small switch. A small lag switch has less space between each corner, leaving less easily breakable surface area. A big lag switch has a lot of empty space inside. This makes it easier to break by shaking, or cracking from pressure.
4. Super responsive. First person shooters are all about who’s most accurate and fastest. The responsiveness of the button can be the determining factor in who wins a battle in an online shooter. The button should take the most minor amount of pressure to engage. This instantly rules out toggle switches (especially those made of light switches.)
5. It needs a warranty. Even the best built things break sometimes and that’s why a warranty is important.
So there you have it Lag Switch Source’s 5 requirements for the best lag switch you can get. Here is our favorite lag switch.
